Dress Code
CITRUS PRIVATE CLUBHOUSE DRESS CODE
As a courtesy among the Members, we want to maintain the traditions and good taste that distinguishes our Club. We ask that our Members, as well as their Guests, always comply with these guidelines for proper and appropriate attire at The Club.
Clothing must be in good repair, not excessively worn or faded and be free of holes, rips, patches, frays and bleach stains. Clothing featuring slogans or printed materials not related to the manufacturer is not permitted.
We kindly request that Members take a moment to review The Citrus Club Dress Code Policy, updated September 1, 2022. Please make note that Members are responsible for ensuring that their Guests are informed of The Club's policy on attire and dress appropriately when visiting.
CELL PHONE POLICY
This policy is in place for the benefit of all Members and their Guests. Phones must be silenced when in the Clubhouse, Locker Rooms, Fitness Center, Patio, Golf Course and on the Range; talking on the phone is prohibited in these areas as well. If you need to take a call, please step outside and out of range of other Members and Guests.
ACCEPTABLE GOLF ATTIRE
The following information applies to all areas involved with Golf including the Golf Shop, Golf Courses, Driving Range, and Practice Facility.
FOR LADIES
• Shirts: with sleeves, or, if sleeveless must have a collar (Mandarin/Mock is acceptable). Spaghetti straps and halter tops are not permitted.
• Pants: Slacks, golf skirts, and golf shorts of appropriate length. Denim and spandex shorts are not permitted.
• Hats: Allowed including baseball-style hats with the bill/visor facing forward.
FOR GENTLEMEN
• Shirts: collard/mock shirts with sleeves. Shirts are required to be tucked in at all times regardless of whether they are made to be untucked.
• Pants: slacks and golf shorts of appropriate length. Denim, gym type shorts, swimsuits, cargo shorts or spandex shorts are not permitted.
• Hats: allowed including baseball-style hats with the bill/visor facing forward.
FITNESS CENTER AND BOCCE COURTS
The following information applies to all areas involved with the Fitness Center including the Bocce Courts.
FOR LADIES
• Shirts: shirts, tee shirts, and leotards/tops. Bare midriff is not permitted. Swimsuits are only allowed in the pool area. Sport bras must have a shirt worn over them.
• Pants: shorts (must reach your fingertips), leggings and sweatpants/suits. Denim is permitted in the Bocce Court area (absent of rips, tears, fringe, and stains). Denim is not permitted in the Fitness Center.
• Shoes: appropriate athletic shoes. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not permissible in the Fitness Center but may be worn for Bocce. Sandals are only permitted in the pool area.
FOR GENTLEMEN
• Shirts: shirts and tee shirts.
• Pants: shorts and sweatpants/suits. Denim (absent of rips, tears, fringe, and stains) is permitted in the Bocce Court area. Denim is not permitted in the Fitness Center.
• Swimsuits are only permitted in the pool area.
• Shoes: appropriate athletic shoes. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not permitted in the Fitness Center but may be worn for Bocce. Sandals are only permitted in the pool area.
During Bocce Leagues, players may wear their Bocce uniforms in the Grill Room and patio areas. Men must always remove caps in the Grill Room and on the Main Patio after 6:00pm.
CLUBHOUSE, BOARD ROOM, AND LOCKER ROOMS
FOR LADIES
• Shirts: shirts, blouses, and dresses with straps (one inch or wider). Bare midriffs and sport bras are not permitted.
• Pants: slacks, skirts, shorts of appropriate length (no “short shorts”), and denim are permitted (absent of rips, tears, fringe, and stains). Leggings are permitted but must be worn with an appropriate length of top.
• Shoes: shoes, sandals, and wedges.
• Hats: hats including baseball-style hats with the bill/visor facing forward are permitted in the Grill Room, Bar and Patio.
FOR GENTLEMEN
• Shirts: polo type, button-down, and collarless shirts without large graphics or logos. All shirts must be tucked in except collared brands made to be untucked. (Tommy Bahama, etc.). Nongraphic tee shirts to be always tucked in and may only be worn until 4:00pm.
• Pants: slacks, denim (absent of rips, tears, fringe, and stains), and golf shorts.
• Shoes: shoes, sandals, and leather flip-flops are permitted in the Grill Room, Bar and on the Patio. Flip-flops are not permitted in the Main Dining Room.
• Hats: must be removed in all dining areas inside the Clubhouse. Baseball-style hats with the bill/visor facing forward can be worn on the Main Patio area until 6:00pm. They may be worn at any time on the Bocce Patio.
TENNIS ATTIRE
For reasons of player safety and court maintenance, all players must wear tennis shoes. Black-sole running shoes are specifically not permitted.
FOR LADIES
Tennis skirts, shorts or dresses are acceptable. Denim is not permitted on the tennis courts.
FOR GENTLEMEN
Shirts are mandatory, must be tennis specific, and can be of any color. Proper tennis shorts are acceptable (no board shorts, cutoffs or swim trunks). Denim is not permitted on the tennis courts.
